Some of our Past Projects

The Lagos Misoprostol Study was conducted by the Academy for Health Development (AHEAD) Nigeria, the Centre for Research, Evaluation Resources and Development (CRERD) Nigeria and The Guttmacher Institute USA. It is a prospective study to assess people’s experiences with misoprostol as well as the self-reported effectiveness of self-managed misoprostol abortion in a legally restrictive setting in sub-Saharan Africa. We handled the research dissemination efforts of the consortium. We identified the key messages of the research paper and conducted media and medium selection and production to drive the key messages to targeted audiences.

Outputs included the Jojolo animation video, Lagos Misoprostol Study research findings summary video, design of infographs, social media campaign, photography, video coverage and livestreaming of dissemination event,  and production of a Lagos Misoprostol Study documentary.

When savvy researchers and organizations need strategic support to disseminate their research findings to stakeholders and the general public, they turn to us. It was our pleasure and honor to provide support services to the Gown and Town research project of the Institute of Child Health of the premiere university in Nigeria, University of Ibadan.

Outputs included production of 10 monologues with transcription and subtitles, photography, video coverage  and production of a documentary – Education as a Vaccine.

Blood is life! An efficient blood supply system is critical to a vibrant health system in any society. When the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service needed strategic support with community outreach, media creation and communications, they found a partner in us for the actualization of their goals.

Outputs of this project included advisory services, event support, photography and production of 5 blood transfusion promotional videos.

The National Institutes for Health in partnership of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex and other stakeholders executed a cervical cancer screening program for 10,000 women in Nigeria. To aid the adherence of participants to screening protocols and procedure,we produced a to produce a fit-for-purpose video to be viewed by participants at the screening centres. Using communication models, we wrote a script, messaged tested the script and produced a translation in Yoruba language whilst adhering to translation best practices and cultural mores.

The video was well received and has been adapted for use in other countries. The publication of the research is available.
